AZA’s Wildlife Trafficking Alliance requested design assistance for a wildlife trafficking exhibit to be installed in Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), which would raise awareness and provide tips for international travelers on how to responsibly engage with wildlife products while abroad.
I created a series of six posters and display case signage for this exhibit. Two posters were lenticular panels of wildlife vanishing from their natural habitats. These panels were one of the notable challenges of the project, as it was my first time creating lenticular prints and the images required significant manipulation and editing to achieve the right effect.
Being involved in this exhibit design was a new experience. The exhibit’s location and dimensions changed several times due to airport availability and restrictions, safety approvals, and other factors that come with a multi-agency collaboration. Each change provided an opportunity to find a more creative solution. Following this project, I also worked on the exhibit for Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), which reused many elements from this design including the lenticular panels.
